Thank you to the PRISE 2010 formal committee- Jane Baldwin, Ritchell van dams, Paul Yarabe, Kayla Berry, Ryan Christ, Marion Liu, Angela Zhang, and everyone else who helped out...everything came together so wonderfully! It was such an amazing way to end an awesome summer :)

Sailing Lesson

UMass Boston sailing instructor, Chris, showing us how to rig the sailboat.

Sumit actually reading the liability form before signing it. Good boy.

Best picture ever. Sumit getting hit in the head by the boom.

Setting up the boat.

Sunscreening.

Sails up!

Sarah standing at the front of the boat.

There wasn't much wind, which gave us plenty of opportunities to lie down and chill on the boat.

Chris had a lot of trouble keeping his eyes open for the pictures.

Adrian actually JUMPED into our boat!

Sumit got covered by the sail as we were taking it down.

Sailing back into the dock.

Folding up the sails. We still had a great time even though the weather wasn't ideal for sailing (we did more...floating). Thanks everyone for coming with!

In Sever for the last talk of PRISE.

Professor Margot Selzer tells us about Diana, an undergraduate who worked in her lab, and her medical data mining thesis project.

If you're interested in this kind of medical informatics, you can get involved in Professor Selzer's lab! Contact her at Margo@eecs.harvard.edu.

Greg gives Professor Selzer the final PRISE 2010 t-shirt of the summer.

Shoutouts

Hey PRISE,

Got a little absent-minded with picture-taking the last few days, but I just wanted to say great job during the Presentation Practicum everyone, there are some incredibly interesting projects that fellows are involved with this summer!

Also, I just wanted to give a shoutout to Chris Devine, who hosted a faculty chat with Professor Jeffrey Macklis in Lev JCR. Approximately 25 people joined for good conversation and yummy Thai food. Sorry I didn't get any pictures!

Tanglewood

There were so many people out on the lawn! And colorful umbrellas!

Adrian was very resourceful and made himself a cape out of the program to protect his back from the heat (Note: Lauren's expression)

It was really hot...

All settled on the lawn and ready to enjoy some classical music.

We took plenty of pictures while listening to the Boston Pops and Yo-yo Ma.

Rockin' the shades.

Picnic!

Thanks Jake for this picture!
